Eugene & Eoghan Scally, Owners of Scally’s SuperValu Clonakilty were impressed with the efficiencies they achieved with DIGI Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs) and wanted to replicate this across their serving counters and kitchen areas, by upgrading their old Scales and label printers with DIGI.
Solution
DIGI Group installed 11 weighing and labelling Scales (SM-5300X) to improve efficiency, accuracy and sustainability. The Scales were installed in the fish, bakery, butcher, deli and kitchen areas. The Scales feature touch-screens, Linerless Labels and the DMC Cloud System. The DMC Cloud System allows Scally’s to easily manage and update their product information, prices and labels remotely. The Linerless Labels reduce the store’s carbon footprint and costs, while also giving them a better looking label.
Results
The store owners were impressed by the ease of use of the Scales and Cloud System, how they could manage and add products with ease, and how they could include cooking guidelines, ingredients and allergens to the labels.
