Prior to installing Digi ESLs, we felt that our whole pricing system had been complicated and time consuming due to the number of price changes that took place over the last year.
Every three weeks there would be a price change and we would have to set aside two hours every Sunday to change labels. These these labels would have to be broken down into the different sections within the store. We would constantly be printing off labels and we found that we needed extra staff. Staff retention has been a big problem as the world has changed over the last year and as a result this had led to pricing errors. We felt that we had to review our process as there was too much labour work involved in order to meet our high standards of price integrity.
Having installed Digi ESLs in April 2023, the new process has taken all the hassle and stress away and price changes can now take place on a daily basis. We had two brilliant and courteous installers from Digi who fitted out the store. They showed us how to scan the product labels as we saw the price change in front of us and they were able to answer any questions that we had. Store integrity is extremely important to us and today we have the full confidence that the label matched to the product is the same to that charged at the till.

We received a great presentation from Colin from Digi who was extremely clear and concise in his description of how Digi Electronic Shelf Labels would operate and of how they could be of benefit to our Hardware stores both in Ashbourne and Sandymount.
We previously had only one old way of working around pricing changes. Staff would increase pricing on the computer, send messages to INTEC who would then print out and pull the labels and then find the different products. The whole process was long and tedious.
Having worked with Digi since July 2022, we have found our new process to be more efficient and effective as we can pull up the new price straight away. We find that our promotions within store are working very well and we are extremely happy with the whole system and the return on investment. Our staff can now concentrate on other important tasks within store without having to concentrate and worry about pricing changes.
